Keynote 8- Insider Fraud: the Lesser Known Threat

Claire’s PhD thesis is on the role of insider fraudsters within FinTechs, and aims to assist FinTechs to reflect on how they detect, deter, prevent and respond to insider fraud, as well as increase people’s awareness of it. Insider fraud has “attracted little scholarly attention” (Shepherd and Button, 2019, p. 972) and so Claire hopes to fill a gap in the research ‘market’.
